having to forfeit yet another day of my 4 in 6 days off to restrip the front end of the 14 to find out why fitting a new set of head stock bearings has made the handling worse.

Sounds like me. This should be in the pissed me off section, but not sleeping at all and missing one of the only ride outs i have been able to make.
