Hello.. havent been in here for a while.
Im pissed off today cos one of my forum members died while he was at work yesterday. Massive heart attack. He was only young and so full of life. So sad.. thought i would post it here cos although you wont know him it kinda feels apt to post it up.
RIP trucker doug... |

Sorry to hear that, and so close to Christmas. I feel sorry for the guy's family.
Having had a heart attack at 38, five years on I still appreciate every day It also put things into perspective.
Strangely although I am the most selfish person I know, my main concern was my wife and how she would cope if I did not make it. |

Thats sad news Trix.
We lost my brother in law to a heart attack last Christmas, he was only 34. It kinda makes all your problems fade in insignificance.

classic journalism from the bushy haired one!!
i actually think he's great! so, he not allowed an opinion? granted, he says some stupid things at times but lets not forget the all time greats:
"...if this car was a hamburger.....it would be a Big Mac!"
"....speed doesnt kill....its the sudden stopping that does!" |

to be honest i think a 'busa would be a better alternative.
but after about, oooh, 3 seconds of analysis, it does look like the tacho for the bike only goes about 2/3rds of the way round before he changes gear...? surely thats just when he's getting onto the power
plus it would've been better to test them seperately and just compare times.. looking at the final bend, the bike's coming in tighter than the car so wouldn't be able to accellerate, cause that lump of german rubbish is in the way..
but then, that wouldn't make good TV would it |

Dropped the bike while pressure washing it at the garage (how f*ckin' stupid, should have just left it dirty), bent the rear brake into the clutch cover = nice big scratch, scuffed the hand guards, and took the paint of the pillion footpeg hanger. It was dark when I did it so there's sure to be more when I have a look in the cold light of day.
Weird thing is that I did exactly the same thing to the old bike so now it really does look identical. |
