After putting it off last year, I was really looking forward to going out for some runs this summer with a good friend on his new GSXR 750 
However, he was diagnosed with a brain tumour at Christmas. He had to sell his bike and has just gone in a hospice which is where I visited him yesterday.
Why does it always happen to the good guys 
Can’t remember who says it on the forum, but don’t put off until tomorrow, what you can do today  |

Seem to have had a few experiences of people going before their time in recent years and that's why we did DAS.
Well that, mid life crisis  and it was always Madams ambition when she hit 40 umm I mean (29)

OK,
WENT TO GET MY BIKE AND TAX THIS MORNING
GOT THE BIKE, GOT THE TAX . . . GET IN
DECIDED TO GO THE LESS BUSY ROUTE BECAUSE ID BEEN ON HOLIDAY, WANTED TO GET USED TO THE BIKE
GO MAYBE 3 MILES AND THE CHUFFING PETROL RUNS OUT, BOLLOCKS
WALK ABOUT A MILE, THINK BOLLOCKS TO THIS AND ASK IF I CAN LEAVE THE BIKE IN A CATERY CAR PARK. THE BLOKE SEES THE BIKE, NOTICES ITS A FIZZY AND OFFERS ME SOME PETROL, GET IT.
GO ABIT FURTHER, GET TO A JUNCTION AND THE BLOODY THING CUTS OUT. INTO A DIFFERENT CAR PARK, START IT UP SET OFF.
ANOTHER JUNCTION, ON A BUSY A ROAD THIS TIME, SAME BLOODY THING. SO I GET OFF AND WALK ACCROSS TO GIVE ME JUST A CMALL CHANCE OF GETTING TO THE OTHER SIDE WITH LIMBS INTACT.
RIDE HOME.
GET IN, ALREADY SEVERLY PISSED OFF, GO INTO THE KITCHEN REACH TO GET MY TAX (ITS ONE OF THOSE ALAN KEY HOLDERS SO I COULDNT DO IT AT THE SHOP) AND BUGGER ME IVE LOST THE BLOODY THING.
IM SO PISSED OFF
(AND YES, YOU SHOULD BE READING THIS LIKE IM SHOUTING) |

ordered a new battery cuz i think thts died and some carb cleaner.

before you try a battery try this

also try a new plug and have a quick check around yer points n condernsor for a shorting wire. one other thing of note is if your bikes a premix using modern oils mix it at about 40:1 and add some pro boost to each tankfull of fuel the bikes runs much better and doesnt kill plugs as much, another quick tip if your running a big bore kit, use a dt50 piston as the windows on the back of the piston allow more oil onto the bore.
