A line of black PVC insulation tape along the top of the visor seems pretty effective as a blue peter fix for low sun... not wonderfully handy if you're lying on the tank all the time mind... but cheap as chips to try out
Actually Having see your shades in another thread a tinted visor would probe best bet
Can't remember what the actual ruling is - you're allowed to have a certain % tint... You would be hard pushed to get a Dark visor anywhere apart from online - www.racevisors.co.uk or www.visorshop.com _________________

No, but apart from the one for the AGV helmets, I believe they are as illegal as the dark smoked ones. Tinting must be less than 25% I think.
Re being pulled, I suspect that it would be bad luck for a copper to pull you for just the visor. If, however, other parts of the bike such as exhaust, number plate, riding style and/or attitude were wrong is the eyes of the law you may get done for the lot including the visor. |

It has to conform to BS and be properly marked with the grade X, XA, YA or ZA which will be found in the corner (so to speak) normally where the visor attaches to the helmet.
Most illegal Dark visors will say for daytime use only, means fcuk all without those little letters.
You can buy road legal tinted visors but they have a certain % of tint but cannot remember by how much, if it is the same as the old style goggles it has to transmit more than 50% of the light available.
This law is another bollox one cos you can wear any % tint in the form of sunglasses but i suppose whoever thought this law up was thinking about the fact you can remove the sunglasses if the weather suddenly changes.
MCN bollox again _________________ Speed Limits are Minimums and remember Opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one
