Our HDD/DVD Recorder/Player has seized up with our Shaun of the Dead DVD inside it. Twisted Evil

Can't even get it to a menu screen to do anything with it! Only a couple of years old. Evil or Very Mad

Wassup, Slappy old fruit? Spill the beans, you'll definitely have a sympathetic ear from this direction. You sound REALLY pissed off.

Oooer, I'll have a look. Couldn't see anything this afternoon when I was seeing if I could open it somehow.

Well, no small round hole or anything. Jiggled about a bit but couldn't get anything to release. We took it to the Toshiba specialist and paid our £30 for him to look at. It'll cost us £240 to repair it but we'd only then be able to use the DVD side of it. Basically the hard disc has crashed. B*!!0x.

As it cost £300 new it's not worth it. Thankfully we had a spare DVD in the attic so we'll be trawling the net for a new recorder. Crying or Very sad
