Hey All,

I've been lurking for a couple of weeks and finally joined the forums a couple of days ago.

I'm a complete Noob to motorcycles but when I did my CBT in April the bug well and truly bit me and I ride as much as I can now.

Im a 39 year old and started off on a 125 Honda twist & go in April but I have already passed my test and now I ride a Suzuki Burgman 400 but I don't know if you guys would class that as a "real" bike because its a Maxi scooter - still it can do the ton and gets me where I want to go faster than a car Smile

I've already signed up for the Unity Ride III and am kinda hoping to meet a few like minded people that will go on the odd weeked Run. Hope I have found them here Smile

Stuart

Ho Ho! Can't think who that twink was. Wink

Welcome Boud. There is another forum where a Burgman rider regularly leads ride outs with sports bikes and similar. You are not alone, enjoy the scene here.

'ello

I took my 'real bike' in for a service and to my horror i was given a 'super scooter' as the courtesy bike.

But, I have to say I was impressed, the thing shifted, it certainly wasn't sluggish at all. The only thing I couldn't get to grips with was the riding position. It felt wrong cornering with both knees together.

But, it gets my vote, in a weird sort of way

Hi Stuart and welcome.

Tango, think Burg means 'city' (but it's been a long time since I did O level German) so Burgman would be city man ie a bike you'd use to commute. That's my guess anyway but I don't really know.

Well you know what they say...

It's not what you've got, it's what you do with it that counts!

Welcome.

(And they even put up with cruiser riders here, so you'll be fine.)
