Dropping an 8mm socket while changing the thermostat. It fell onto the starter motor. Extracting it meant fairing off, clutch cable support barcket off and Cam chain tensioner off. Did you know there is a precise technique for refitting cam chain tensioners? I didn't. 
The biggest pisser is the fact that the existing stat works just fine  . |

Being sat here at work with my coat on because the air conditioning is soooo cold. It's ridiculous. No wonder half the office is always sick. it's warmer outside!

Being stuck here in the office when it's such a lovely day outside. Hopefully I'll be home before the sun sets and be able to have a beer in Tania's back garden.

hmm, so on top of the arthritis in my knees and ankles and the degenerative macular disorder in my eyes, the xrays on my neck this morning reveal I have stage 2 arthritis in my neck!
this is what a miss spent youth will do for you!

| approximatley 9 hours driving for a 2 hr job at swansea with a stop on the way there at Slough .....set off at 0345 this morning and got home at 1600 this afternoon |

It was my birthday last Monday. I got a phonecall from my oldest two kids but my littlies forgot, my other half forgot, my dad forgot, by best mate forgot... To add insult to injury, one of the girls on Monday was asking if she could have a party for her next birthday! I mentioned to the girls this morning that I wasn't terribly impressed. They were distinctly sheepish. Mentioned to significant other that the kids had forgotten my birthday, he also looked a bit sheepish, then said his mum had remembered but didn't say anything to him as she was sure he'd remember!
I don't want a fuss made on my birthday and couldn't give a stuff about cards and presents but it would have been nice for them to acknowledge the one day of the year that's "mine" and just say "Happy Birthday, mum". |

If it makes you feel better, my birthdays were routinely forgotten by my parents when I was a child, even my 18th and 21st!! But not my sis's or brother's ones.... Apparently cos I was born in July and we're on hols then!??? What sort of excuse is that?!
