Not one but 2 of my Elderly neighbors bringing me out a cuppa tea and slice of cake while I was clearing the snow from and salting the paths around our flats tonight.

Ahh it warms the cockles to know that some community spirit still exists in this day and age Smile

Might be a cock, coulda been killed though. Don't feel sorry for him, but I do feel sorry for his family/friends and the people who have to clean up the wreckage.

On the other hand, I reckon that beat the usual wedding march.

Seeing someone out on a bike this morning, it was minus 12 when i left at 0730 for the school run and saw the bike at 0815. What a nutter, he may have no choice for transport other than his bike, but ffs is it worth throwing it down the road in this!

I always used to use my bike for work when I first started riding. Even rode it in that awful winter of 1981. Shocked Had a 10 mile ride on country roads from Carterton to Witney in Oxfordshire. Didn't think anything of it then, wouldn't even dream of it now!

When I had a 10 mile journey to work, I bought an old C90 which was perfect for this weather & even had to wait for landrover's to get out of my way when they got stuck. Only downside was that the car behind always travelled too close, so if I went down he would probably run me over.
