Now being a Garmin Owner I found this whilst playing and thought others may find it useful.
It's basic but allows you to go on and really get to know how to plan long trips!

Bob i'm with you for simplicity and ease of use Tyre is awesome. But try planning fuel stops, lunch, etc then you'll find that Mapsource is better.
