I just got a letter from BMW....
"Within the framework of quality motoring, BMW Motorrad has ascertained that the drive chains of the F650GS and F800GS models manufactured in the same period of your motorcycle may be showing signs of damage. The possibility of the chain breaking and causing a safety-critical riding situation cannot be excluded. Under worst case conditions, the rear wheel may lock up if the drive chain snaps and becomes trapped between the wheel and the frame.
In order to avoid this possibility, your motorcycle's drive chain and associated components will have to be replaced."
...for how long have I been telling them that their chains are made of cheese?????
Better late than never, I suppose?! |

What will have me grinning ear-to-ear for the next week:
Playing with my slow-speed riding on a BMW1200 RTP (yes, you read that correctly!) Mega!!!
Got back on my beloved CBR for the ride home; she felt as tiny and nimble as a 125 by comparison! _________________ "Take advantage of her being in a wheelchair while you can, mate - 'cos that's the only time you'll be able to push her around!" -Barry H |

My God son visited with my Bestest m8 ever in the world today (hadn't seen them for 2 years)
The little bugger is taller than me now and his Dad let me take him pillion through Redhill then along the M25, M23, Crawley, East Grinstead then back to Bletchingley via South Nutfield with more than a smattering of twisties along the way. His first time on a bike.
I've never seen anyone smile that much in my life and I think in another 2 years there might be another wobbler on the forum _________________ Opinions are like assholes...... Ahhh Fcuk it - YOUR WRONG !!!

Shame I missed Slaps and Bitch's party but family comes first.
Home after a weekend away with my brother, sister, cousin, was-nearly-my-stepsister-but-not-quite, all our respective other halves, and about 200 other friends for the most hooligan birthday party I've been to in years. Fraggle Rock has run out of beer and vodka, and I have a headache. _________________ An open mouth is a straight line to the mind.
