Getting stopped by a gendarme on his wheels... and this time, no cutting it...smiling did not help:
-"Mademoiselle, do you know you were driving at 116km/h instead of 90km/h?
-Erm, really?
(Thanks God I refrain from saying what was on my mind: Are you sure? I was doing 140/150km/h just before... )
- Do you have your licence please?
(Igive him the papers, after what he says)
- Do you have a French one?
- No, I had it changed when I moved to the UK in 97.
After checks, etc
- You will need to have your licence changed back as in it's current state you cannot have your penalty points recorded."
Really? Oh bummer? What a shame...
But after all 13 - 2 is a positive outcome, no?! _________________

I did think he was a bit gay, not because he resisted my charms , it was more a general impression...
Smelling of roses? Not so sure, I WILL have change my licence eventually and I got a €90 fine on the spot. They retained 110km/h, so a 20km/h above the limit... if they had caught me just a bit earlier, I probably would not have a car left!
Why can't I just be left to enjoy my driving? I love it and look at it as a sport, not a chore like most people! I enjoy the feeling of giving ALL my concentration to a task, to take each corner, each overtake as a challenge, to do the best techincally possible with my vehicle... Is that SOOO wrong to be 100% concentrated whilst most drivers are so complacent it's scary?
Pfew, not fair! _________________

This site made me smile. Some of the miss quoted lyrics are superb. I particularly liked the Christmas song with lyrics: "Bring me some friggin' pudding" as apparently sung by a six year old.

Engineering a solid mounting for my bikecam, having rejected the 'suckered' mounts supplied. Just a coat of satin black paint, and we're good to go. _________________ Just call me Waki. |
