On a lighter note - how was Germany? Are the Harz Mountains a good area to visit/ride?

Superb mate, wish I'd had longer. There are stories to tell etc, but probably over a coffee seeing as it was a "secret run" Laughing

I had a lucky escape with the local starzi, saw them just in time to throttle off from the 120 mph in a 100kph bit... although they did jesticulate. two of the other guys were stopped and got off rather lightly after a talking to from their German counterparts Laughing

Not a happy MOT day...Need to fix:

New rear disc, anti-dive caliper mounting bushes, wheel bearings front and back, new tyres front and back, electrical gremlins in lighting system, cush drive rubbers and sprocket carrier, new pads front and back.

Oh, and a mysterious ticking coming from the engine has recently developed. And the rad has started spitting coolant all over the place.

I know when to give up and cut my losses, so have decided to break the bike. Hopefully should be able to make my money back.

I just want to turn the stereo up and drown out the sounds of life at the moment...some nice loud Soundgarden ought to do it Very Happy

I haven't been riding long, but this is the first time in 4 years that I have been without a bike, and I feel like I've had my right arm cut off. Riding made every day bearable, 'cause no matter how shit your job, or how bad a day you've had, once you get your lid on, all life's little problems seem to melt away. I feel like I now have no escape, and considering the shit I am going through at the moment, I am really missing my bike.....

.....even though it was a piece of shit Laughing

Anyway, self-pity moment over!

The tosser on a off road bike that nearly knocked me clean off my bike.... Shorts and t shirt ... NO helmet ... NO number plate nothing screaming around some back road near colnbrook .... Feckin a22hole needs a kickin..... And then about 1/2 mile down the road i see a copper so I though hmmmmmmmm pulled in and told the copper and he replied "yeah we been having a few problems with kids down here on them.... " and winds his window back up continues drinking his coffee and eating his sandwich doesn't make a move or nothing ..... Bloody idiot... I got his badge number contemplating making a formal complaint ...

GLWT Keith!

WPMOT: Getting a second job offer this week (this time, for a great job for which I was previously not picked, but the MD changed his mind!). Should be good news I hear you say? Sure, except I started a 7-month contract on Monday... What is that expression about buses again? Evil or Very Mad
