My zed could be up for sale in the new year. |
Nah, it's white, too slow!
Why you getting rid of it? Cleaning too much of a pain? I couldn't cope with a white bike, I don't know how people do it! |
Simple, they're called 'Vanessa' and they get their fiance's bikeS dirty instead |
But it is my job to clean them (all) so two white, one black and not forgetting the lovely multi coloured CBR lol _________________

WMMST. Getting a lovely reply to a letter I sent to someone who I've missed being a part my life since we lost contact through circumstance. I don't often actually put pen to paper, but I'm really glad I did _________________

They are designed with some clever inside technology to stop you breaking your ankle. My question is, what breaks if not your ankle... Tib, fib or femour? |
In my recent experience, none of the above. My Sidi Black Rain boots did a great job of spreading the impact across the entire front of the lower leg. Left leg really smarted - enough so, that I had A&E X-ray it. Had bruising and tenderness for a few days, but no leg fractures whatsoever. Result!
Will cheerfully endorse Knox back protectors, Arai lids, Racer leather gloves and Teknic leathers too. _________________ "Take advantage of her being in a wheelchair while you can, mate - 'cos that's the only time you'll be able to push her around!" -Barry H |

Again not laughing at your advice. I remember Boudicas went through this for almost a year before he found out what he was doing wrong!
To the boots, they are waterproof leather boots with 6inch thick leather that will never soften even if I wear them for 600 years! They will be seeing plenty of water soon enough though so I'll let you know if they do soften! _________________ It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes. - Douglas Adams.

If they're mx or enduro boots, you don't want them to soften unless you enjoy broken toes and ankles. My tech 8s are still as rigid as the day I bought them and have saved me from many a tree stump/rock induced injury (though not all )
Learn to change gear by lifting your foot rather than bending it. Raise the gear lever up a couple of inches. Rear braking is just a matter of feeling when it's working rather than feeling pedal pressure. _________________ It's not the speed of life that bothers me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

I will also be off to France (The Somme) tomorrow afternoon on a secret run for the weekend with nine others who in my experience have no idea who they are let alone where they are going - they'll find the bar though
Fellow travellers - weather is looking dry in Northern France for the weekend
