WPMOT...

S'funny old world... I'm the first to send on a "sick" joke about a disaster, but the events in Japan & the subsequent after shocks (pardon the pun) have hit a lot closer to home with than most "disasters" have (yes I have sent on a few jokes Embarrassed )...

Firstly, a dear friend of mine is Japanese & from Tokyo, and members of her family have lost their homes or they have been damaged, and possibly some friends and family are still unaccounted for.

Secondly, the company I work for is priniciply a distributor for a Japanese company who have just had a significant proportion of their production capability wiped out, this means that potentially, we might be in the position of having nothing to sell.

Do not under estimate the potential harm to the economy caused by the knock on effect of the Tsunami/Quakes.

And... getting the gruesome details (which I'd not asked for) about how my friend ended his life. So sad Crying or Very sad

All the jokes apart, these are very tought times indeed, the knock on effect of the events in Japan will surely affect the world's economy...

On the flip side, the amazement on how people also pull together after a disaster, there are actully people smilnig outside their wrecked homes, that's defiance for you.

Honda donating 2 million pound AND 1000 generators to assist the authorities. and they lost workers at their plant which was also severely damaged, how humane is that.

So if it was going to take honda a month to get me a part for a bike 2 weeks ago. would it now take them six months. I think there will be a big nock on effect with bike spares as the manufactures dont keep alot in the country.
