Hello
Me here with the contraversal bike it seems
Well I love the fact that my bike stirs the emotions, good and bad.
BHP, well I dont know exactly what the figures are for my R1 but I spoke to the people that did the prep and can only go by the figures they gave me. (why would they lie?) I have road tested the standard R1 and my 1 is a very different bike with more power across the rev range in every gear.
The main point I wish to make is I LOVE IT.
If people like it, thats really nice if people dont like it, do you think im bothered!!!! Nah coz every day its there and I get to ride it. _________________

Well said Bonus
Bikes are dynamic things and the physique and ability of a rider have a dramatic effect on the riding experience... not every bike is to everyone's taste and like Big Al I could buy any bike i wanted, but I am more than happy with my CB13 (again not to everyones taste); but more importantly it has kept me out of (too much..!) trouble for my first 18 months of riding. _________________

I think some people have taken what i said a little too much to heart, firstly i would like to say for the record that i do not have a problem with B's own bike and so i apologise for refering to the R1 as the Arse1 and i apologise for pissing anyone off! i was just giving my honest opinion to the style of the new bike in comparrison to last years model.
As for the dyno topic, i think a dyno day ( i seem to remember someone trying to organise one a while ago ) would be great whats more is if enough of us are up for it we could send the details into a bike magazine to see if they will print it _________________ sorry you can't park there! |

Thats why i said "Pretty much all of them", i didn't go and say evey single dyno test did i and besides, when i wrote that the jan 05 magazine wasn't out but at the end of the day what does it matter, its not 180bhp is it!! _________________ sorry you can't park there! |

There's nothing wrong with making controversial comments.
In fact without them, this place would become very dull very quickly!
And it's always the "controversial" threads which get the most replies.
It's the innappropriate comments which are not particularly welcome, and which tend to get peoples backs up! _________________ Adventure before dementia. |

In the grand scheme of things, this is a very minor point to get annoyed about, but it really does make me angry, and it keeps happening to me:
Yesterday, I heard a record on the radio. It was by the Chemical Brothers and I loved it. Today I went to the shops with my hard earned £15 ready to buy the album.
But of course, neither the single nor the album have even been released yet? What's the bloody point of playing a record on the radio if I can't even buy it? I'll have forgotten about it by the time I can actually buy it.

In my humble opinion, that's all ya need to say mate. I ride a ZX-6R and, in all honesty, I neither know nor care what BHP it makes, how fast it goes, how good or bad it handles.
What I do know is that, in my opinion, it looks good and goes well.
Finally, and again in my humble opinion, whatever bikes we ride the bike's capabilities outstrip our own personal riding capabilities by far. The only way that this would not be a true statement is if you truly believe that your bike could not get round a track faster if someone else was riding it, such as your favourite race hero...... _________________

120 mile ride back home to shitty Southwick tomorrow
Mind you, I'm looking forward to not waking up with a cats tail in my mouth, gonna be coughing up furballs for a week!
I'm also miffed that people knew I came up here on a bike so how the heck can I fit a set of kitchen knives, a douvet set, a CD rack and 4 bottles of wine on my bike
Oh and the giant house spider thats watching me is also annoying me now. _________________ Fish are friends, not food |

I'll have the knives if you go Chilli's suggested route.
