oh dear! did you at least go back to the pub? |
The invitation was made four weeks ago on a not so sober evening for the neighbour). I did wonder why he did not return my call earlier today to confirm arrangments. _________________ "My own opinion is enough for me, and I claim the right to have it defended against any consensus, any majority, anywhere, anyplace, anytime. So far as I can tell, o2 are the only one's doing unlimited minutes still, as with you, signal at work is shite on Orange etc etc. T mobile is a possibility. however. Think they still run both networks though?? So presumably it picks the one up with the strongest reception??
I could go on a business tariff, but they are usually lots of minutea and very few inclusive texts. Or I could just cancel the 'kin thing and be done with, might save a fair amount of grief & stop Miss V calling me whilst I'm on the can _________________

It's a bit mental on the face of it, however, has their been a previous precident set by the wearing of Poppy's on previous international fixtures on rememberance Sunday? Not that I can recall, so this suggests that the request to wear poppy's is now perhaps something of a fashion choice for footballers, rather than something more geniune. Not that I am cynical of course. _________________

Wearing a Poppy is not a political act it shows respect to the war dead.
In my opinion they should be worn if the player wants and FIFA can go to hell.
If they fine us then we pay the money to the British Legion. _________________ Blue smoke and a ring ding ding |

Would you feel the same if the Germans or Iraqi teams wanted to wear something similar in memory of their war dead!!
Don't get me wrong I have nothing against wearing poppys but I'm not sure another country who we lost people too would see it the same way.
