Working just one night don't half muck up your body clock though!
I'm not sure if it's time to go to bed or time to get up .
What also made me smile today, it's still light(ish) at 1700.

Yes and no...
Yes it runs very well and appears to be as low mileage as described - valve clearances spot on and cams barely worn. It did take a bit of work to get any sort of compression going... But it's all good now - the rings just needed some encouragement, also having being stood so long, at my choice I fitted a new cam belt, which is not cheap for one of those £47 plus couple of gaskets +VAT, postage etc and it's soon £75
The "no" is the damage that I hadn't spotted until I was bolting the exhausts on that one of the exhaust outlets has a chunk out of it from a grinder - looks like when it was removed from the donor frame someone used paddys unicycle to do it and caught the head. For now it's plugged with Chemical metal, can see me making up an ally plate and drilling and tapping the head to make sure the chemical metal plug stays put.

hehe maybe... It's been to Spain before
I do really like the ST1100, just want a good reliable one that I have faith in... I have lots of parts, and I am almost tempted to buy a frame and build one up based on one of my spare engines completely rebuilt. _________________

A motorcycle for the real world.
I'd have another one tomorrow, but only if it had an extra 50bhp. |
