Skip Kneedown Big Biggrin

YZF R1, 2000 (W reg) Reg ends in OCD - which is fitting - cause the machine is very nearly spotless. 28,000 miles, but full service history and warranty from the dealer, as well as a new 12 month MOT ticket. Pick her up on Tuesday, and i can't foooking wait Very Happy Cool

Firecracker has a Haynes manual for the R1...I'm sure she'd let you borrow it if you need it.

If you're in the vicinity at any point have a look at the reg/rec connector block. Apparently they can melt and/or go brittle over time due to heat and water ingress. Barb's did just that, leaving her without any electrics and a lifeless engine mid corner on the a272. I think it's about a £20 part. Just a heads-up, like.

Nice bike btw! You're gonna love it!

Yep, common issue. water gets in, it corodes and you end up with a flat battery.
Also, another common issue with them - keep 'em topped right up on the oil as the light will come on at the slightest provocation (i.e spanking it round some track)

I was feeling cheap when I fixed Fc's, ended up breaking the block apart and heat shrinking each wire individually on to the reg/rec. Seal with copious amounts of gaffer tape...good as new Laughing
