Alright ladies and gents

So the May Day run to Hastings is fast approaching. Does anyone have any details of what time this will take off from Box Hill?

Cheers

In my short 3 years in this forum I have never seen a ride being posted specialiy for the said ride.. most people tend to go the oposite way, however I remember there was a "secret wobblers ride" me included Smile in the 2009 event, that was the last one that I know of from the BHF!

Like people say...Done that, got the Tshirt...

Good luck and keep an eye for the boys in blue Rozzers

Good fun to go and watch the start (around 09:00-09:30)

Take a different route down there than the A21 as loads of dangerous idiots attend this ride (someone often gets killed or badly hurt).

Very heavily Policed.

I'm with

First time I went on my own bike (had been in the 90's on a mates trike Embarrassed ) someone went past me at warp factor 9 then promptly planted themselves into the back of a car on the M25 J4 Confused

There are plenty of nicer less well travelled routes to get to Hastings

Last ime I went I decided to turn off and go to the Kent & East Sussex railway instead, idiots everywhere. Coming back I had to make a detour as someone had ridden into the front of an oncoming car at 100mph.

I'm avoiding the may day run like the plague this year, too many squids, weekend warriors and general dickheads. Every year someone gets hurt badly, plus unlike the brighton runs there is fuck all organisation. Plus hastings is a shithole. Use to do the mayday run but after the dicks last year crossing double whites whilst lorries were coming the other way and cutting in front of my friends and I I thought fuck this, I have better things to do on a bank holiday than get put in hospital by some twat who gets his bike out for the first time in 6 months, without even servicing it, or you know, checking brakes and tyres are ok.

Good luck to anyone who goes via the A21 this monday, may the force be with you.

It was an unintentional stoppie, WD, no wheelies for me. And I still have them thanks, (cue "ladyboy" comments, snigger) it was my wrists that got broken! Rolling Eyes

Well you won't be playing with em until your wrists are better Wink

I normally go down to Hastings but go an alternative route in to avoid the prats and plod, its quite cool seeing the place full of bikes. Not this year though as weather looks like its going to be poo.
