|
|
After my radiator was sabotaged by Bacon this morning the AA man brought some K-SEAL coolant sealer and poured it into my hot engine (oo-er missus!)
It did the trick as I rode another 120miles and lost no more fluid.
Now, it says on the tin it's permanent up to the lifetime of the radiator, but is it? Anyone used it? Should I trust it. Or get a replacement rad?
Does the sealant cause damage if left in the cooling system for an extended period? Or should I flush it out ASAP?
So many questions, so few answers! Any constructive comments welcome. _________________ So many roads, so little time. |

Thanks for the advice. Looks like I'll leave it then, it was only a small hole!
I will act on Wivvy's suggestion and get a rad guard though.
After all the stones that hit me today I think I need a visor guard too . _________________ So many roads, so little time. |

Do not put car sealant in a bike rad. It WILL block it up. K seal It is perfect! _________________ Why pay someone else, do it yerself |

I was reassured by the motorcycle symbol on the container. _________________ So many roads, so little time. |

I always though rad covers were just a bit of unnecessary bling, but after seeing what can happen maybe it's time for me to invest in one.
