Happened to me this week too. Stopped off at Dobles to buy a 12v power socket and tipped the CBF in full view of the staff inside.

No damage, pannier racks and hand guards took all the impact.
Still felt like a cock though as I went skipping across the forecourt trying to get away from the bike when it went past the point of no return |
