Begs the question of what the state of play is regarding warranties?
My understanding is that the usual requirement when not using a stealership is to have OEM parts and a VAT registered mechanics stamp. _________________ Boxhill Chippendales

Good question but for a few years now this has applied world wide, guess which manufacturer fought it tooth and nail( H**DA) :
With the indtroduction of 'block exemption' laws we are now permitted to undertake scheduled servicing of motorbikes that are still under the manufacturers warranty without invalidating the warranty. Written confirmation was received from Kawasaki UK Customer Services which reads:
"We can confirm that using an independant dealer who fits genuine Kawasaki parts will not invalidate the warranty on your machine. It may however affect our ability to cover any failures that are specifically affected by servicing and repairs."
In other words: no, it doesn't as long as I use genuine parts, and am not negliegent in my ability to us a torque wrench properly, at which point if it's not a parts failure it bounces back to the service agent, the same as it would with a main dealer.... _________________ It's all inb the preparation.....
