I don't actually give much of a fuck any more, all I get is shit, no thanks and it costs me money.

Get fed up with people being so negative, I've lost interest in group riding in the most part too.

It is really sad how the "NEGATIVE" mood has taken over completely and this great place to meet like minded people is dying way...

I still enjoy visiting the site, all I have is GREAT memories, I've met really wonderfull people, met my wife amongst those, it was at one point my "home" when I was still fresh in the country and the forum became my family too as I had no one else in the country. I was excepted in the group with arms wide open and instantly made loads of friends.

I think we all need to make it better, the forum is nothing with out its members.

Cheers All Hug

Winter blues that set in month's ago, trawl through last years threads for same time last year. It's an annual apethy trend, just happened to set in earlier that's all.

Who's going to NEC this year to buy a load of old crap they don't need? Smile

Duncan Mate, you are very much appreciated, and it's not quite true you only get shit and complaints.
You are always welcome on one of my poorly attended rideouts Very Happy .

I still pop my head in now and again, been out on the bike less than ever this year than in the last few years (bad injury won't bore anyone with the details) I still believe that it was over sensitive people expecting too much and giving too little to what is a 'forum' the proliferation of FB has given the people who only manage to get on with a select few the ability to organise thier rides with themselves rather than just making an effort to get on with people you wouldn't normally try to... Personally I'm like marmite you either like me or hate me but either way it makes no difference to me or even if I will talk to you.. not only this, it feels to me like the whole biking community is dying away the 'Man' has made it nearly impossible for the yoof to get on a bike now and without the new blood the old guard eventually hangs up thier boots and no-one is there to replace them. I doubt that until the forever unappreciated forum provider finally turns of BHF I will ever truely go away.. but lets face it you can't even have a friendly slanging match without someone reading too much into it or others who have no idea what a bit of banter is chucking thier two pennies in or others who simply can't take a joke getting all whiney to Biggus (frankly I'm suprised he put up with it as long as he does) but I'll be back... I always am... besides your all CNUTS.

Oh yes. I still have the PM someone sent me telling me to 'fuck off' in my inbox, reminding me why I don't post very often.

Well I'm here every day, not that I post much as I rarely have anything to say. I think we can blame the weather for a lot, when it's miserable for most of the year, everyone gets grumpy.

So what do we do to turn things around?

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked
I knew there were a few, how shall I put this, spats, but not anything that would warrant that sort of response. Amazing! Crying or Very sad

But, there are many decent people on this forum and I think it a bit sad that they are driven away by instances like that.

Me? I'm too old to give a shit, but I try not to say anything controvesial these days. Or did I just do so?

In my opinion people attending posted rideouts would be a good start...I don't know many people on here but the people I have met are nice enough and the more rideouts I go on the more relationships I build....

I Agree, that is definately a start!

I don't personaly think that if one posts a ride it means that everyone needs to join in, what is important is that you are sharing your intention to go for a ride, if no one turns up it doesn't matter because it won't stop you from going anyway.

If rides start being posted people will certainly start to join in thus getting things back on track again.

Differences will always be present, things like... ride to slow.. too fast... too boring... etc, etc,etc... thats the way the world is and no one can change that, we are all different, that's the beauty of it!

Also if the weather is shit, money is short? let's do the bicycle rides again, still great fun and good to get people together!!

Cheers!!!
