Chumps,

Going for a ride, the first one for a while. Sorry it's not a motorised one but I've not got a fully built bike and I'm not sure I could ride if I did.

Will be leaving from TD at 10, riding along the Thames to Richmond Park and back in time for a Chinese Very Happy

Around 20 miles, depending on weather. Mostly flat.

PM if you don't know the address. Wink

Much love
X

Excellent.
It actually probably works out 50/50, tarmac/mud. The mud can be a bit sticky and there are likely to be big stones. Mountain/hybrid will be best Smile

Yey!
How're the old knees doing or have you just given up and decided to enjoy peddling regardless?

I'm half expecting to see you sliding along on the Aprilia, desperately trying to keep up with Waki on his slick shod push bike. Laughing

My knees are shot Crying or Very sad . It even hurts to walk upstairs sometimes. But, having been a racing cyclist in my dim and distant youth, I can ride through the pain Twisted Evil .

I don't have the Aprilia anymore Crying or Very sad . It was a beautiful bike, but I was not suited to it. Mainly knees funnily enough, but also a bit of wrist ache. But what a ride Very Happy .

Brrrr.

Don't forget your wooly stockings!

10:00 for a tea/coffee and probably leave by 10:30/11:00, once the snow has thawed Wink

Not sure what time we'll be back, depends on how competitive Waki feels. The Chinese doesn't open until 17:00 or 18:00 so a beer/shower at ours is fine if you want.

See you in the morning Very Happy

Good point, it must be the company then, as I have managed to ski with broken hip, broken fibula, broken ribs, broken talus and broken acromion in the past...... There is a theme developing there..... I think I learned to ski the hard way Embarrassed Wink

Sorry, not going to make this now Crying or Very sad . Just got back to the depot after being called out last night. Just going home now.

I took a gamble on there being no problems rolling on the floor laughing . I've been up since 0500 yesterday, a full days and nights work and only about 5 hours rest in between.
I'm in no fit state to sit in an armchair let alone ride a bicycle.

Just myself and Pete out today and i really enjoyed my first cycle ride of the year. Had a slight off though when my bike handling skills let me down towards the end. Rolling Eyes Good route along the Thames and in and around Richmond and Bushey parks. Cool Would make a pleasant summer ride. Very Happy
Tastey meal at the Chinese with great company topped off a very cold, but brilliant day, although i think i may ache a bit in the morning ! Many thanks Pete for arranging. Cheers.
