Just a post for those new tot he forum and near enough to Sutton to use him.
Got a new set of tyres fitted to my CBF today and upgraded the suspension (forks) by fitting progressive springs. A couple of other minor jobs done too.
As always, a great standard of work and cheap as chips.
Cant recommend Mark enough.

Will keep in mind and give a whirl on my next service then....
Do like recommendations and don't need to use main stealer anymore for warranty.

Point to note... You never had to use the Main Dealer for services for warranty (though they will never tell you that).
As long as your bike is serviced by a mechanic (I think he has to be vat registered but maybe not), and as long as genuine parts or the equivalent are used (but best just to use genuine parts to avoid any arguing) then the warranty is valid.
I double checked that with Honda before I got mark to do my BIG 16K service on my first CBF. As usual, he did a better job, did more and charged a lot less. _________________ Opinions are like assholes...... Ahhh Fcuk it - YOUR WRONG !!!

Thanks guys
Slappy, I don't even remember that conversation but it wouldn't've been because I didn't want your business, but as I've said to a few people, though I appreciate their business, an MOT is an MOT (or it should be) so you should get the same service at every VTS station.
Yes there is a BHF discount so if the distance/time warrants saving £5, then by all means book in.
If I ever suggest an alternative to anyone, it's not me talking you out of giving me money (believe me, I want your money!), it's just me trying to make it easier/cheaper for people. _________________ It's not the speed of life that bothers me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

Well just to piss on your chips a bit. Mark totally messed up the way my bike rides. It now rides the way it should have been doing. Not the way it has been for the last year or so!
Its amazing the way you compensate for shitty suspension and the difference it makes when the front actually goes boing and not thud! |

Mark - Do you think I would be able to assist you in servicing my bike if I were to book it in?
I'm rubbish at doing stuff and it would be good experience for me to help you service my Yamaha FZ1-n (2010).
Send me a PM if you think it doable.
Cheers

Hi Neil, thanks for your interest but unfortunately I can't help you with that. Partly from an insurance point of view (actually, totally from an insurance point of view) but also, I just have a thing about working with an audience. Maybe I'm just shy, though many would say grumpy _________________ It's not the speed of life that bothers me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

That's exactly why i don't tend to go over there anymore... Too far to warrant travelling to Sutton because the Mrs now has different shifts so cant follow me over and bring me home like she used to. As much as i like Mark, it aint half boring sitting around killing time while he works, and i don't like knowing that i'm making him feel like he should prioritise my work cause he doesn't like being watched!!
For what it's worth... I wish i was a little closer, because i agree that his work is first rate and he really is a bloody nice bloke and would prefer to give my hard earned cash to him than the idiots at Guildford tyres.....! _________________ Not man enough for an R1.......
