Coroners report, makes for an interesting read:

http://www.judgments.im/content/J737.htm

The coroner is suggesting that the Manx government is in breach of Article 2 of the European Convention on Human Rights. I know several Manx residents, and whilst they don't object to bikes, they certainly stay well clear of the mountain whenever the TT or MGP are on

If they ever impose speed limits outside of the towns and villages I'm sure people will stop going. A lot of money is made during the racing, and it is very common for riders to go out early, so surely there could be hazards posted somewhere online or in the press and it wouldn't cost much for a vehicle to follow any deliveries or collections. The freedom it gives you to concentrate on the road and not on your speedo make it worth going.

Difficult to argue with that report but it is only advisory. Presumably the Manx Government will simply ignore it - and bikers will keep dying....

Sad

That would be stupid bikers who corner at high speed on a blind bend where you can't see what you're going into.
