Ok, so it was a pain that the Tuono broke down in Scotland, but you'd have thought The AA would take better care of it....
Using the rack to tie her down was plain irresponsible, even the rack's bent. There should be 10mm clearance between rack and fairing.
Need to send details and cost of repair from a dealer, to the AA. Watch this space. _________________ Just call me Waki. |

That's unfortunate Waki.
I've been recovered twice by the AA and had no problems on either occasion. _________________ So many roads, so little time. |

The AA have asked me to send them details, including a quote from a dealer for repairs. As the bike doesn't go i'll be removing the panels and taking them to In Moto in Croydon. Hopefully they'll give me a written estimate. I have checked with a supplier I use and the two sides of the tail fairing are priced at £254 each plus cost of decals. _________________ Just call me Waki. |

When I came back from the IOM in (2006??) One of the guys Blackbird sump sprang a leak and it was recovered home... it was delivered back in the dark I think, and looked ok, the next day he found the fairing lugs were all cracked, the recovery company told him to FO as he'd signed for it
Years ago I did some casual work for a garage that were agents for RAC/AA/Britannia/Green Flag etc and we'd dread bike jobs... _________________

When my 996 was recovered it was put on the sidestand and ratcheted down. When I complained as it was an aluminium stand, the driver said it was the only way he could strap it down. I couldn't believe it when it was the steel bracket that gave way first ! _________________ It's all down to quality of life ! |

AA have, today, accepted responsibility for the damage and will pay for repairs in full
Just need to find the reason for the breakdown now.

Can't you blame that on the AA as well? _________________ Boxhill Chippendales

I was close to buying a new tuono a few years back and parts availability in the height of the motorcycling season was a big part of the reason I didn't. _________________
