Ooooo, the Orpington TT?

Hmmm... given the amount of animosity to cycle racing on public roads is this likely to be approved? After all, the effects of an accident are far more profound at the higher speeds of motorised vehicles, so somebody is going to oppose (especially if they are from Tunbridge wells Wink ).

It's not just cycle racing that gets a lot of stick either, running races like the London Marathon come in for their share from the NIMBYs.
