I am (yes I admit it) a hardcore rossi fan, I still think he's got one more championship in him, Yamaha seemed to have made changes that suit both Lorenzo and Rossi and the old boy is on point (or maybe it's the change in crew chief but that's a separate debate) he's up at the top with the others so I think this is make or break season..

I think he's gonna do it? whadda you all reckon?

I'm not sure he is still capable of winning the championship, but he is probably still able to take it to the rest on occasion. I would certainly relish a few battles with Marquez because there really would be some fireworks! A few four way battles would be nice too. I only wish Ducati could get their act together. Crutchlow and Dovizioso in the mix would be superb.

I would be very happy to be proved wrong about the championship though.

If only Rossi would take some riding advice from me he might have a chance.
He needs to stop scraping his knees, that must slow him down.
His rear observation is appalling. Get some mirrors.
Maybe a nice VFR 800i might suit him, I might have one tucked away somewhere....

So here we are 6 races in and where is Rossi, 2nd!! and what do we get from the commentators who spent the whole of last season writing him off.... nothing nada barely a mention, they are all swinging of Lorenzo's nuts when he's been shit all season, even while I was watching the '300' race with the whole of Mugello celebrating, all they wanted to talk about was how great it was to see him back on the podium (never mind the fact that rossi was there too, no-one can deny the phenomenon that is Marquez but seriously some credit where credit is due!!

*Rant over, fan boy calm mode activated*

Now they finally have the bike capable of giving the Hondas a challenge here and there Rossi is showing he still has the drive and ability to mix it up with the youngsters...i reckon another season of improvements and no steps backwards will see him giving them something to chase.

Yet another race where Rossi shows he is more than capable of mixing it up.....and that if Lorenzo isnt allowed to bolt from the off he struggles to be as impressive. Even lorenzo admits he rides better when not under pressure and is alone out front.

hmmm..Not sure I agree with that. Lorenzo is at his best when he is mixing it up with elbows etc as is Rossi and Marquez. Pedrosa is the one who has to have a clear run to be fast as he doesn't like mixing it up. However, last weeks catalunya race Pedrosa was quite good and was mixing it up well....i was quite surprised and have not seem him do that before quite as well.

Lorenzo is struggling for corner speed on these different tyres which is why he is struggling. I like Lorenzo's smoothness, I like Marquez for his aggression and talent but I love the fact that Rossi is competitive and when he has his race face on there is no one better....Given a little more evening up in Yamaha vs Honda motorcycles I think Rossi will be on the top step once again.

best you call him up an tell him then .....
lorenzo himself says ( and i quote) “The pace was not so bad because the track was not very hot but unfortunately I couldn't open the gap I wanted in the first lap. When Vale passed me it was the same and I couldn't ride like when I am alone.”

Psychologically it must be hard to take it to Marquez at the moment. Hopefully this weekend's excellent race will give the others the belief he can be beaten.

Rossi is amazing, Looking forward to more of the same at the next one.

Annnnd now Yamaha have given him another two years (can't really say no as he is whipping Lorenzo in the championship)

But interestingly I Just heard Honda have agreed to keep Pedrosa on for another two years... My GOD Repsol must really have pumped the money in, or they are scared of Suzuki being able to mount a serious challenge and want to keep any of the top riders away from them??

Cool GAME.....ON

well well well...a year on and as predicted the GOAT is up there , obviously the others have too done their R&D and its no landslide but Marquez is flayling in the wind from the pressure of not being able to point and squirt and it seems when put under pressure makes rookie mistakes, Lorenzo is, when handed the opportunity dong that old chestnut of hit the front and run in the first corner, which kudos to him he is good at and rossi.....well lets say if he gets his qualifying sorted I further predict maybe some of the old style rossi where he drags the pack round for most of the race then buggers off ....just to show he can but before that we are going to see some of the best battles ever from the front runners as rossi starts his charge. As was said at Catalunya by Lorenzo ,,,"rossi had a far better pace than I could manage at the end of the race"....personally I think another 2 maybe 3 laps and we would have seen a finish the likes of 2009.

An uncharacteristic tactical error by Rossi this weekend, BUT, I think he's on for his tenth!
We're not worthy

Yep, still here!

The dr isnt getting it all his own way , he's having to fight for it and personally i think he prefers it that way...its earnt.
As for Australia ...wow ! what a race ...and i dont think ive ever seen a gp rider nut a seagull before.
i reckon itll go right to the wire but you certainly wouldnt bet against rossi making his tenth.
