Dodgy wiring somewhere between the headlamp and the fuse box, perhaps?
Significant Other helped No. 1 Son who had a similar problem on his GPZ500 by doing something technical with a multimeter to identify the problem. We then re-ran a wire between the headlight and the fuse box, bypassing the dodgy wire, and it hasn't blown since. Might be worth finding someone who knows how to use a multimeter for some useful advice (not me, I'm clueless!) |

Well my dads an ex electronic engineer.. so as it happens, pretty handy with a multimeter just a case of finding the time (and making the effort) to sort it |

either that or the good old honda favourite of a fried regulator rectifier... With the bike running measure the voltage on the battery - should be about 14.4 volts. If it's going up way beyond that and varying with revs then reg rec is toast _________________

Why oh why of why do these do as you likey bike breakers list stuff on without actually checking it first ffs!!! This is not the first time it's happened... the first replacement engine i found for the CB1300 was a pile of crap, needless to say that I didn't get that one, but luckily they were good enough to email pictures of the "slight damage" for me to reject it before they sent it _________________

I had a seller send me the wrong forks and when I complained they said I could make them fit if I purchased the triple clamps. Also another said the forks were not rusty where the seals sit, Yes, you've guessed it ! _________________ It's all down to quality of life ! |
