Basically. I originally started working in a store near me, started uni and they transfered me to a store near my uni. They agreed that when i was on uni breaks i would work back at the store at home. But foolishly, I didnt have this agreement put into writing.
The manager did his best just to be basically awkward and arsey towards me.
They started making people redundant (I wasn't one obviously) and then it came to my next uni break I asked for my transfer for 3 weeks. He said he wont authorise 3 weeks, he said i'll give you 2 weeks but you can put holiday form in for the 3rd though even if you put it in 2 weeks back i probably wouldnt have accepted it but you can put it in now and see what happens cant you. Turns out he authorised 3 weeks transfer for other people.
I couldnt continue to work there if i wasnt getting my transfers so i left.
But now the company are claiming i have taken holiday over my accumilated holiday entitlement (when i havnt) and that i owe them the money 'they paid me'. Which is much more than i would have been paid had i actually have taken the holiday anyway. |
