I had a 2003 model .. Good bike if you

Up rate rear shock, standard will be shot after 10k miles.

Fit a corbin seat

Dump standard cans

Fit taller fly screen.

And can put up with engine vibes at high revs .

ok its just an offer thats come up now, i dont change bike often the last one i had for 4 years before that 2 years. i do like the R1 but the offer may not be there later, thought i would see what others thought of the Z as i dont know what they are like, before i said yes or no to it.

dont be cross with me AJ i will prob keep it as it matches my leathers Laughing

Gotta say I love me Z, then again I've only had it 3 or so months and I use it everyday to commute into the warzone that is Stockwell.

It's not as torquey as I thought it would be and it needs to be noisier, que some cambell custom cans when the house is sorted.

Basically it's no sports bike but its a great fun so long as you don't try and outride it. You can still see silly speeds but not for long as the wind blast is a killer. ( not to mention the vibes)

Ride one and make your own mind up.
