Reminds me a bit of a Triumph chop I built ages ago with 4" overs and apehangers. It really didn't do it for me in the end, so I got rid of it after only a couple of weeks...but that's not to say I don't like TP's bike.

I like the idea behind it and a lot of work and thought has gone into it, but I'm not sure about the overall look. The back end seems engineered rather than sculpted...and maybe a stubby side exit exhaust would look better too. Apehangers..hmmm...not sure...what would it look like with lower and curved bars perhaps?

And I'm really not sure I'd want to ride it at 'normal' speeds for any great distance.

But that's my opinion FWIW and no doubt TP would have a lot to say if one of us (us? says I on my third ever post!!) on the forum were to build a chop.

Sorry TP, nice work but not my cuppa

I am not going to apologise for those who have made you feel less than welcome that's down to them - but hope I'm not one of them Sad . As I said earlier, horses for courses, it's all too easy for people to judge when they don't know the person behing something, perhaps in that respect a poll was not the best thing in that respect in hindsight? I'm not critising you VVO btw Hug

It's a Buell - it's going to be ugly, innit! (But by the love of Satan - why did they make it worse!)

I don't think it would get to 195mph on the road though mate. 150bhp certainly isn't enough to get it there imo.

Looks like a nice job though.

Wot a fcuked up thread!

Basically people were asked for their opinion, and that is what was given. The vast majority do not like it.......end of.

If you had created a thread yourself and just posted some pics yourself then i'm sure most people would not have said what they said. But, it wasn't, it was posted by a 3rd person asking for opinions. It was even done as a poll ffs.

We were was asked our opinion and i gave it, in a one word answer, because that is what i think, and i ticked hate it. I don't like it, it's not the sort of bike i like and if i saw it at Box or Ally Pally or anywhere else I wouldn't give it a second glance. I don't like it.

If your feelings have been hurt by my and everyone else opinion then that just the way it goes, if you dont want opinion, comments or critisism then it shouldn't have been asked for.

Perhaps the first post should have gone along the lines of, 'what do you think of this bike, but don't say anything bad' And perhaps the poll should have been Love it, love it or love it.

No offence to you TP, all that matters is that YOU like it.

absolutely. If this were a thread about say a new bike from a major manufacturer it would have probably got a similar reaction and opinions also; but of course corporate yamaha or whoever don't have feelings. Perhaps this being posted in the third person made it less personal in the way a thread looking for opinions on a new yam/zook/onda/kwak/duc/ktm/beemer/aprilia/mv/harley/buell/whatever would. Peace
