"Opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one" as your tag line reads. Trying to silience or not allow them to air their views makes the people trying to silence them no better.
As SS (sic) said, we live in some sort of democracy. That means that all views, and the people who hold them, have a right to be aired. Wether anyone listens or takes heed is up to them. |

Like my sig says................. it doesn't mean i am right or wrong, just my opinion.
I find their views unacceptable, antagonistic and unconstructive for democratic cohesion, so the fact they do not wish for the UK to be democratic but to be a dictatorship under their rules, has no place in todays society. _________________ Speed Limits are Minimums and remember Opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one

they have their rights.
If any extremist party advocates murder, then that should be stopped.
IF HOWEVER, they establish themselves as a party, and puts forward
policies that do not break any laws (such as aforementioned murder)
then they have every bit as much right to have their policies (however
unpopular) aired as the next man.
Personally, I don't like the BNP, so I shan't vote for 'em come election time,
but I am sure as hell interested to hear A) their views and more importantly
B) their opposition's views in a debate.
if the BNP prove themselves to be muppets on question time, that can only
benefit everyone. _________________

I'm not condoning or condeming anyones political views. What I'm merely pointing out is that the democratic process needs to be adhered to. Stopping any one faction or party isn't allowing the democratic process to take place. |

So you agree with Gerry Adams and Martin Mcguiness being legitimate politicians, murdering fucking wankers, they have been responsible for more mureders of british serviceman and innocent members of the public that can be discussed here, yet they stand side by side amongst the legitimate snide cnuts that call themselves politicians! _________________ Speed Limits are Minimums and remember Opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one

*sigh*....if you read my post you'd see that I said "I'm not condoning or condeming anyones political views"
I was merely commenting on the fact that to be a proper democracy the right and just procedure needs to be adhered to. |

So are half the world's leaders, Our most illustrious president was a
convicted murderer and terrorist.
I do not believe that the BNP should be denied their right to air their
policies ... Particularly as GT pointed out ... McGuinness et al are legally entitled to air Theirs ! _________________

As the old saying goes.............
I do not agree with your opinion, but I defend to the death your right to express it.
I'm happy not to be going into work tomorrow night, because there are expected to be hundreds of people protesting at Television Centre, and I don't particularly want to run the gauntlet of noisy protesters.
While I don't agree with the concepts expressed by the BNP, there are obviously a large number of people who do, which is why they have 2 representatives in the European Parliament. I agree with Baryy's statement.....I'm not condoning or condeming anyones political views. What I'm merely pointing out is that the democratic process needs to be adhered to. Stopping any one faction or party isn't allowing the democratic process to take place.
Much like the statement yesterday.....you get the police force you deserve, well, you get the politicians you vote for. And last time I looked, we still had a vestige of democracy left in this country. But, as Ken Livingstone once said.....If voting made any difference, they would make it illegal.
So, in answer to the original post..... Yes, I believe that the BNP should be allowed on Question Time to express their views. And also to comment on the views of others, including fellow panellists and audience members. I shall also be watching the programme with some interest, if only to hurl abuse at the screen. |

Sorry Barry i was laughing and joking with PJST whilst trying to multi task about commenting on this pile of shite, so i missed your post. I have made my feelings clear and i now retreat from the majority that wish to agree that such twats like this should have a voice in this country in this day and age! _________________ Speed Limits are Minimums and remember Opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one

Exactly. Allows other people the chance to actually oppose any fallacies or other nonsense they may spout. _________________ Baby Biker Babe!

"i now retreat from the majority that wish to agree that such twats like this should have a voice in this country in this day and age!"
I respect your views. What you've got to remember is that they will only have a voice if people vote for them the same as any other party.
Its the same as any other political party or their representatives appearing on question time. Which I think is a good thing. Some of the questions put forward by the audience are far tougher at times than those in the House and gives a greater insight into the policies of the said parties.
People will make their own mind up. The BNP have done themselves no favours with regards to the statue of the coloured SAS guy which is to be unveiled as a tribute.
I have my own views on the BNP party yet have kept them to myself. I wish to remain impartial on that subject. My argument is that the proper process is allowed to take place. I don't think this is a place to discuss ones political views. Others may have a different view on that. |

although i dont like anything to do with the BNP themselves, they are a legal party and pushing them aside saying theyre not allowed to take part means their followers will just increase their feelings. Put them on question time, have a proper debate, they'll show the type of people they are _________________ Its all Google maps fault!
