Cheers for all the info tusky, i am going out to switzerland for 8 days to a martial arts training session with the masters.
A few of the people i am going to see in switzerland are bikers as well and are going to show me some of their favourite roads. just got to decide which bike to take now although i think its gonna have to be the mad one although getting luggage on it could be a bit of a problem.
I might stay on after i finish training so i might see you out there some where.
Have fun mate. _________________ Still fixing bloody motorbikes for my sins ! |

Cheers Lorne..... Sounds like you will have fun even if 90% of the Swiss seem to ride cruisers and take to the mountain passes at the weekend..... weekdays are fab and little or no evidence of police speed traps in late August. Will PM you my mobile, so you've got it and I guess you've found the 'closed' Swiss & Italian thread under the Private Forums section for those heading out there _________________ Boxhill Chippendales

Nope the cobble one would be the Tremola Pass (Old St Gotthard... pic below) which Lost did with the rest of us on his R1 even though he didn't mean to
There will be a little surprise for everyone on the Umbrail Pass which leads to the Stelvio..... the road suddenly stops for a mile or so and gravel hairpins become the order of the day..... Got to love them Italians _________________ Boxhill Chippendales

There is one twin room (bunk beds) that I had kept side in case it was needed for the week at Lauterbrunnen. If no one wants it I will let the hostel know that it isn't wanted.
If anybody wants this, I will need to know by the 16th May _________________ Boxhill Chippendales

I'd love to join the Lauterbrunnen group, hope I'm still on time for the hotel reservation Tusky?
How do you want me to pay for the deposit? Cash or bank transfer?
Cheers! |

Svita..... There may just be a chance
I have cancelled the extra Dolomite and Stelvio room, as two people can't come but I have not cancelled the extra rooms at Lauterbrunnen.
Would have to move very quick... probably by phone...
Logically you would need to leave early on the Saturday morning with Waki and Lost who will also be staying at Lauterbrunnen, we should all be meeting up by the old Reims race track around mid-late morning....
I will send you a PM..... _________________ Boxhill Chippendales
