If you wanna kill yourself then that's up to you, i don't give a shit .... but it is your right to do so, i don't agree with people smoking around children and do think it should be banned around them, they don't have a choice, if mummy or daddy etc smoke.
so should kids be banned from the back of bikes ?

That is another debate ... this one is about smoking Smile

Maybe people should start taking more responsibility for their actions and not relying on the government to protect others from their idiocy.

Proposed laws like this are utterly pathetic and are a one way ticket to turning the country in to even more of a Zoo than it already is. If you want a communist state, fuck off to North Korea.

I don't smoke.

Agree with that pip, though can we make it legal to rip wing mirrors off cars who chuck fag butts out of windows? Laughing

It's already illegal to smoke in my car - and any other company owned vehicle.

Does that apply to say a plasterer who's self employed as a sole trader and owns the van himself?

Funilly enough - I rember reding an artical on the BBC web site where a smoking marshal had issued a penalty ticket to a self employed guy who was in his own work van - somrthing to to with it being illegal to smoke in the work place... Even if he is the boss

Ill try to find the link and post it

It is my understanding that it is also an offence not to have a no smoking sign in a company van.......

It should be banned everywhere, it stinks & it makes you die.

It's selfish to smoke in a confined space when others are there too. People who don't smoke by choice shouldn't get death/stink inflicted on them by others. It's especially unacceptable to pollute kids innocent pink little lungs!!
