Thanks Fred. I think I have done this route before with you. Mostly gravel, but some mud?

Hi Guys n Girls;

re the ride tomorrow he is a link to the route we are going to do;

think we will go from Heathfield to Hellingly

http://www.eastsussex.gov.uk/NR/rdonlyres/700A2E3F-FB14-486A-BE9B-94E187740AB4/0/CuckooTrail.pdf

on page 2 there is a map of Heathfield there is a car park off of Station road near Newham

I am sure the resident PC geek called Hecalledmesteve can add a sat nav co-ordinate for this car park.

I think we will meet in the car park for a 10am for a 10-15am leave.

Any questions ask please on here.

Is the route suitable for my CB1300? Smile

When I'm a bit fitter and have a suitable bike I'll come out and play, no money to buy one at the moment Crying or Very sad

Now I am moer confused than normal.

Is the meeting point Marky Mark's / HCMG's or the one posted by Fred?

The last time we did this we went from the latter.

Two hours for the cycling would be plenty, just depends if you want refreshments at the halfway point ( you would need to go to Hailsham for that).

looking at the map there are two car parks on this trail in Heathfield area (which way add a bit of confusion) but which ever one people manage to find they all lead onto same trial so no worries, most have my mobile number anyhow

see you later Very Happy

252 miles by car for 15.64 miles of cycling! Was it worth it? Hell Yes. Very Happy

A great morning, thanks for the organisation V, MM, HCMS and F. A reverse star burst: several car parks suggested as meeting points, however, we all ended up at the same one! It was also good to alter the route from that before - good idea MM.

Well done Duncan on getting on a bike, shame on those that dropped out. Smile

Also good to see the motorbikers and car drivers at the lunch stop. Even if some have gone soft, eh V? Very Happy

In fuel terms, the Landy used 9 gallons of diesel, I used one Big Boy breakfast. This was offset by Land Rover planting enough trees until the car has done 60,000 miles and the 1,260 calories I burned off whilst cycling (according to my heat monitor and GPS). A carbon neutral if not methane neutral day.

Can't wait for the next one.
