Well that landed on my mat yesterday, but the local one is while I'm away, I went on the site and looked at other local sessions I could possibly do and called up to see how busy the session at Cranleigh tonight is, but it's nigh on fully booked. Guess I'll do it when I'm back from being away then. _________________

I gave blood yesterday. Only took 40 minutes out of my day - was so easy, I didn't even have an appointment, just turned up. I don't understand why more people don't do it. _________________ An open mouth is a straight line to the mind.

There are all sorts of reasons people don't give. Phobias, taking medication, spending time abroad in certain places etc.
Not having time is not a valid reason, so come on everyone, save a life today. After all, its only a little bit of my signature . _________________ So many roads, so little time. |

Don't worry Bumble, at least you've tried right? I can not give blood either I had a rare type of Hepatitis and I can never give blood again, not much I can do about it! _________________ The road to success is always under construction.

indeed. As it turned out I was heading past Cranleigh way this evening so popped in and they were able to drain me. So that's me for another 6 or so months. Tbh. The only thing that actually hurts is ripping the plaster off my hairy arms (not arse before anyone says ) _________________

I'd come with you, but it'd only be 4 months since my last drain. Maybe you'll get a spethial sticker if you go on your birthday.
Tip... First time I gave blood, I was a University student and figured that I could get pissed more easily with 500ml less blood, I have never been so ill from booze in my life before or since _________________

It's only 4 months since I last went. 3 times a year is allowed... Plus it only takes me 4 minutes to pump out a pint (fnar, fnar!) _________________ An open mouth is a straight line to the mind.

Bump again.
Please, if you can, do. Unless you're in an excluded group or you cannot for other health reasons there really is no excuse. As I get older I know more and more people who are in need of blood and blood products, people of all ages, and for all sorts of reasons.
Being "scared" of needles is a crap reason. I don't particularly like them and I am a bit of a when it comes to pain, but I have ways I deal with what they are doing and have not felt any pain or discomfort doing it. _________________
