In the (understandable) absence of a Box Hill Christmas Party, is there much interest in having a pre Christmas pub meet next week for the forum members?

I know Mush has arranged something for the following week, so perhaps this is overkill.

Notwithstanding that, in order to try and make this as inclusive as possible, we should meet somewhere that is fair to those coming from East and West of Dorking. Therefore, please select a poll option and if you have local knowledge can you please post an appropriate pub (also serving food?) suggestion.

Meeting time 19:30 onwards at the pub.

I am happy to book the same if there is enough interest to make it worth my journey i.e. if only a very few of people are interested, they should continue to do their own thing per the now forum way Wink Smile

The selected date will be based purely on the majority date.

Best to book if you want to eat, but I know they have some tables left.

The Sportsman at Mogador has been popular in the past.

The Sportsman gets busy with xmas parties this time of year......funnily enough. It would be advisable to phone ahead.
Sadly the poll is a reflection on the state of things at the moment.........

Slight cockup people. Due to a domestic "feature", I cannot actually do this on either date Embarrassed

Apologies, but for those that can go, perhaps I have at least facilitated a get together. Very Happy

Lol.... and now you also have to apologise to the eight people that have needlessly stuck knitting needles in their eyes Laughing

Oh I don't know, perhaps I put that option in so I could get pleasure from some people doing that to themselves. Wink Smile

Surely all the knitting needles will have been taken to the pub, thus leaving none spare for the non-attendees? Laughing behind hand

Indeed especially as seeing that the needles were inserted needlessly, therefore it must be that knitting was the only thing pushed into the eyes, leaving the needles not so needlessly being at the pub to be used for knitting. I think. Confused Very Happy
