I've got a Meta 357T on the R1, and for some reason, on this glorious day with dry roads and no rain, when I was just about to go for a blast, I can't immoblise it.
The red LED isn't flashing, the bike turns on, boots up but the key fobs (both) wont let me turn the immobiliser off.
I think I just wanna remove the whole fucking thing, but not sure how as wiring and alarms are like some kind of black magic to me - I aint gotta clue.....!!
Seriously pissed off now.
Suggestion/help? _________________ I'd rather have a full bottle infront of me, than a full frontal Lobotomy |

It sounds like it's gone into "sleep" mode. Have you turned the ignition on then dis-armed in that sequence? _________________ So many roads, so little time. |

Mine failed in about the same way a couple of years back.
Incubus (Craig) was very helpfull at the time.
Just looked at mine and I would suggest that you disconnect the large plug from the alarm (bit awkward as it is held on with tamper proof screws, but, where there's a will there's a way.
Then, when you look at the plug from the end with the little plastic lump at the top the pins are (top row left to right) 1,2,3,4,5,6
connect pins 1 and 2 together and then pins 3 and 4 together. pieces of bent paper clip work well for this.
That sorted mine and later on I connected a double pole switch (hidden on the bike) as a pikey type immobiliser.
Oh btw. the alarm will go mental when you unplug it (untill the internal battery dies) I was advised to wrap in an old t-shirt and chuck it in the corner ) _________________ The lunatics have finally taken over the asylum |
