All on go regardless of any potential showers, as I plan to dodge them where possible Wink

Meeting at box 6:00pm and departing at 6:30pm sharp happy biker

I will probably get to Rykas by just gone 5:00pm, as I am working near there at the moment.

Sorry Tusky, I'm not brave enough to ride in the rain/dark again yet. Hope you all have a great ride this eve.

. Don't blame you, it's thunder and heavy rain here in Reigate and lights keep dimming!!! It's good to hear you are back on the bike though.

Sorry Tusky but it's thunder and lightning here and I just got soaked to the skin on the M25 so the Mrs and I wont be out tonight.

Bollox though I was really looking forward to it

A memorable ride! And a lovely burger 😃. Thank you Tusky and Madam for escorting me to find petrol - sixth time lucky! Saw less than 10 cars, a cat, a fox and two badgers on the way home.

The motoring equivalent of jumping up and down in puddles in you welly boots.....except my welly boots had a hole in them=WET BOTTOM! Shocked

Great adventure Tusky, thanks for organising! Great to see everyone, who'd have thought you'd get 12 bikers out in a thunderstorm!

What fun! Smile

I thoroughly enjoyed that. Some slightly scary moments, such as coming round a blind bend to encounter a lake...and then there was the hail, the steamed up mirrors and the river flowing down the hill!

I must get out and do more riding in the rain, on the right roads it's good fun.

Thanks Tusky for leading, and everyone for great company and as usual a lot of laughs.

Even in my world, that was a pretty mental rideout !!! Laughing

Well done to everyone that made it, I salute you all We're not worthy Rana and Barb amazed me with their willingness to ride through endless floods, potholes, floating tarmac, mud, hail, torrential rain, lightning and debris on some crazy roads..... The one on the way to the 7 Diner though the tunnel was very very special Embarrassed Razz

To those that couldn't or were wise enough not to chance it, you were missed and good to see some people on the forum have common sense...... for my part O2 buggered up any chance of letting people know of a change of plans, so I waited at a closed Rykers to see who would turn up and the ride on the minor B roads went ahead as planned Wink

Leigh was very dramatic when we hit our first flood, as the the engine cylinders on my GS were totaly submerged under water Shocked at which point HCMS wisely chose a different line through the floods...... the floating pub tables looked pretty cool, the fire engine added drama and a kind car driver (one of many) drove for a few hundred metres at speed through a foot of water creating an 8ft bow-wave and spray and drenched everyone of us what a w***er

My guess is that we went through 50+ floods that were crossing the road on the rideout and Ide Hill to Sundridge was pretty dramatic as we may have well just ridden down a fast flowing river, whilst being pelted with marbles to get the same effect.

Good to see, Alan, Biggus, Rana, HCMS, KIS, Nosnowking, Barb at Box and pick up Madam on the way, also good to meet up with Skinnyhulk at Shoreham and then Gaz and Emma on their bike at the 7 diner for much needed food..... It was a late one as we didn't leave until 11:30 pm..... pics below

Thank you to all those that attended, I really wish we had a Go Pro filming the ride, it was pretty awesome and very funny...... also very impressed with all the bikes and riders, as none skipped a beat in very testing conditions...... certainly one of the best rideouts I have ever been on and will live in the memory for a long time Cool
