It's that time of year again!

Admittedly, I've been a bit disorganised and have left it quite late to ask for donations..... Embarrassed

It's an all girl team this year, Miss V, Posh Bird and myself and we're raising money for Surrey Air Ambulance.

Donations can be made at the link below, please give what you can-every little helps!

We would also love to have some noisy supporters, cheering us on! Do come along of you can, its an amazing experience!

http://www.surrey.fundraiseairambulance.co.uk/boxhill_bikers

Many thanks from the 3 of us! Xxx

Very Happy

Had a gentle jog this lunch time and have to admit I am not as fit as I would like to have got for this but we are not doing it to get record times.... to all finish upright / smiling / and having raised some money for a great cause is our goal Cool

HCMS, KIS, Posh Bird and V thank you for all your support, encouragement and donations Thumbs up

Still time to help us reach our goal, honestly size does not matter, donating does Pray

The 'girls' have our start time of 2.15pm and HCMS is off around 4pm

<any one heard to be shouting 'run, Forest run' will be delt with accordingly, once I have my breath back of course>

What an amazing, exciting and exhausting day......and i wasn't even taking part Wink !! Left home at 9.00am...back at midnight Shocked . But it was worth it to see the brilliant Boxhill Bikers, Kate, Rana, Vanessa and Pete, taking part in the London Triathlon. applause A great team showing from the girls and a fantastic solo effort from Pete. Respect mate.
No doubt V or Kate will post up the times and final placings at some point. Here's a few photo's from the day.....
The girls before the start

Rana on her second lap of the cycle leg.

..."Come on V !!!..."

Pete during his run.

And finally, the triumphant Boxhill team. We're Not Worthy

The ladies finished 264th out of 320 teams

We did a total time of 1:53:02 (fastest team did it in 1:07:41)

Swim 214th in 20:30 (fastest 9 mins!) 750m
Cycle 208th in 48:46 (fastest 23 mins!) 20K
Run 278th in 37:11 (fastest 13 mins!) 5K

Great fun but hard work, I for one really want to try and improve fitness ready for next year Very Happy

You all did brilliantly, especially as training wasn't too intensive Very Happy this year and health wasn't at it's best for some.

Pete, what can I say. Top effort on your first Triathlon. Not bad for someone who can only swim two lengths Shocked Braver man than me getting into that dock!

Well done all Very Happy
