I'm shopping for soft luggage. It has to be easy and quick to get on and off the bike, and preferably expandable according to my needs. The kriega tail pack system seems to fit the bill, but I just wondered if anyone had any other recommendations, especially since kriega don't come cheap Shocked

I'd rather not have any racks to deal with, so that's givi and ventura off the list.

Oxford do a system very similar to Kriega, which Hein Gericke stocked when they ditched Kriega... Might be worth popping along to HG and see if you can snaffle a bargain?

I've used the oxford panniers which are expanadble and come with rain covers which have graet capacity.
The only issue with the soft panniers is protecting the paint work as they have a habit of scratching, so I got a sheet of the anti slip matting out of ASDA's which helped but it takes extra time to fit and remove the panniers.

hope this helps
