On a fine morning, sometime in the next few weeks, a GS1200, a KLR650 and a Honda Embarrassed will be going for a ride.

This ride will have a maximum speed of 45-50mph.*

This ride will be fun

This ride will contain sections of off road

This ride will be over 4 miles long

This ride will be under 100 miles long

This ride will involve laughing at people

This ride will involve at least one coffee stop

This ride might be on the 27th or 28th of October or 3rd or 4th of November depending when is best for the GS and KLR

This ride welcomes any type of bike/rider provided you don't mind mud and scratches.

That is all for now.

*knee sliders will most likely not be required

What bike would you be using V? I wouldn't advise you to use yours, something with a bit of ground clearance might be better... or a spare Honda cub if you find one lying around...

I'm going to head over to Rykas tomorrow morning and have a look at the condition of some of the lanes. Not been out on them for nearly 2 years! I know that 2 will be okay but some of the others might be a little tricky, especially with a GS and a HC! Waki will be fine though so we'll take a tow rope and make sure the KLR has a suitable towbar. Laughing

Yes, going to visit them, coated in a thin layer of mud, might not give the best impression.

Course.

We might leave you at the start of Ranmore Common as you bottom out on the slight terrain the tarmac is draped over. Laughing

Oh yes. Laughing

Well, when is best for you? Sunday this weekend should be OK for me. We might have visitors but I can escape for a few hours.

What about you Tusky? Going to risk it on the GS? I would say that the lanes will be okay unless it rains. If it rains then there will be some muddy bits and even the monstrous C90 will struggle.

To be honest the November weekend would be better for me. This would give me time to sort the tyres out on KLR. Having probs getting the old ones off at the moment. Rolling Eyes Lets see how Tusky's fixed. Smile

I will leave my propeller tyres on, as they should bite nicely with lean angle exceeding 45 degrees....... However, anything demanding verticality should be impossible Laughing

Meant to be visiting family at some point on Sunday, so need to find out the times..... Think other weekends are probably OK as well Wink
