Know a few people losing their jobs through this, sad sign of the times. Another one bites the dust. Something to bear in mind the next time you (not you specifically V) click onto an e-tailer R.I.P. The High Street

It's weird to imagine what will happen to high streets when everyone shops online!! Restaurants & coffee shops?

Not much in the way of bargains - probably the prices they should have being selling at in the first place.

Pretty dozey staff (generalisation I know) in these places - in Holland people who sell goods in these kind of shops have to know and understand the products they are selling.

Not good being made redundant just before Christmas and like Duncan I do despair of where young people are going to get jobs on the future if retailing continues to be decimated and the supermarkets with the help of a compliant public continue to install self service machines - a sort of Pick Your Own Shopping!!

It always makes me laugh when my brother used to describe PYO strawberry picking in the summer as like "Building the Burma Railway" Laughing
