Has anyone done one of the Supercar gift experiences, like redletterdays?
Thinking about getting the Mrs one for Christmas or birthday and just wanted to see if anyone had any good or bad experiences.
Was thinking of a 2 car one, and they are about £150. Don't really want to spend all that if they are a load of rubbish and you get no time, driving at stupidly restricted speeds.

Have done Jonathan Palmer days but they are loads more money but awesome.
Another possible idea maybe a skid pan session? Know they do those at Goodwood.
Hope someone else has done a day like you ask and can help you more than me _________________

Honestly mate, I wouldn't recommend it, I remember leaving a Ferrari experiance 'day' extremely Dissapointed. I was just starting to relax and getting a feel for the machine and thought "right.. I'll see what she can really do on the next lap.." But I was then instructed to pull back into the pit lane. Thought I was going to get told off for something, but he said thankyou and hoped I had enjoyed the experiance. He looked genuinely shocked when I informed him I was not happy. Nearly £200 odd for 4 laps of a track!
Waste of money IMHO. However everyone's different and maybe I was just unlucky with the company that it was booked through, but my other half looked so Dissapointed that she had spent so much money to buy me something supposed to be so special, and I returned before she finished her cup of tea in the cafe! _________________ Not man enough for an R1....... Mate of mine was refused a drive in a Ferrari for being too heavy (16 st)!! And that was for one out lap, 'flying' lap and then in at Silverstone. Decided to take his gift of £150 to Mercedes World at Brooklands where you can do several seperate driving experiences for around the same cost. _________________ Just call me Waki. |

Friend of mine drove a single seater at brands, wasn't allowed to boot it and was given a rev limit to stick to, would have been quicker in his own car. _________________ It's all down to quality of life ! |

If you want to do something fun with cars have a look at anti-hijack driving days. I did one with speed skills last year. Loads of time driving and you get to thoroughly abuse cars as well as learn some useful skills. |

Surely it would be more fun if it was a pro-hijack driving day! _________________ So many roads, so little time. |
