|
|
Yes, I know its 4 months away, but it'll soon be Christmas too!
The night of 22/23 June is the shortest Saturday night of the year so I'm up for leading another night ride.
It's also full moon on the 23 June so it'll be ever so romantic.
meet at Blackheath Tea Hut (SE3 0UA)
for a midnight departure
destination Market Diner (BN2 9QF)
route to be decided
pace will be dictated by ability to see!
As this requires a bit more commitment than your usual rideout put the date in your diary and watch this space.
Everyone welcome and I can guarantee you'll enjoy it.
JimBo

Oooooh you little tease ....diary marked.
For them new to the nightrunners as Jimbo calls it (its night crawlers ya daft ol git) this is a fantastic oppertunity to test your concentration levels whilst safe in the knowledge that you are with a group and wont get left in the dark (that can be read a number of ways lol). So get yaself signed up cos if anything beats a Jimbo run its a Jimbo NIGHT CRAWLERS run. _________________ Rust is lighter than carbon fibre! |

Hey Shaz, your annual outing . You really must come out more often, you're such good company .

We certainly did. Not only was the run good, the entertainment in Brighton was, errr, different.
This is looking good already. I've also posted this up on SECB and I'm getting a good response there too.
We had 7 last year, lets see if we can bust the record.
Oh, and I've changed the title just for you Pete. _________________ So many roads, so little time. |

You guys are crazy..
I have a hard enough time seeing the road furniture, pot holes, wildlife in the day let alone when it's dark.
I don't mind riding in the dark dont get me wrong but at a Jimbo pace?? I don't think I have it in me...

Its surprising how much you can see, you become acclimatised after a while especially, believe it or not, where there are no street lights.
As for the wildlife, I'm leading so I'll sweep it all up for you. I'm a wildlfe magnet, ask Bob and Pete .
I don't mind riding in the dark dont get me wrong but at a Jimbo pace?? I don't think I have it in me...
Aahhh, now there's a statement similar to many discussed on this forum and others many times. You ride at your own pace at all times. It really doesn't matter who you are riding with, you ride according to the conditions.
The conditions on the "Night Crawlers" a couple of years ago were a bit murky, and we were riding at about 10 mph in places. Still good fun though . You certainly have it in you, and what's a "JimBo pace anyway?
Oh and one last thing...jimbo..you're old!

Me and a few others will be in Scotland that evening. Perhaps we could have one of our own across Rannoch Moor. Mind you, up there it'll probably still be light, sort of !! _________________ Just call me Waki. |

Its just another oppertunity to ride ones bike in different circumstances with a group of like minded people, but if being tucked up in your bed does it for you then you crack on fella it certainly wont be held against you.
