I'm sure there was a thread on this years ago, but I cannot find any trace of it!

My Raptors nuts and bolts are a bit, how shall I put this, aged. Some so that I cannot now apply the correct tightening torque because they are so rounded.

Any recommendations for stainless steel fasteners, preferably where I can get them over-the-counter as, being a Cagiva, some of them are "strange".

Thanks in advance.

Jimbo,

There is a place between Bexley/Dartford called 'modern screws' that I always use.

As it's only 5 minutes away I just take the relevant screws off the bike and take them up there for a swap.

They love telling me about the stamps on the side of the screws etc that show they are good strong screws, they have a good supply and seem to know their stuff.

Let me know if you struggle to find it and need a chaperone.

Cheers
Neil

Thanks Neil, that's just the ticket. I know exactly where it is and I've passed it hundreds of time and never noticed!!

Don't buy from Pro Bolt, they are thieves. Make a list of what you need and go to a local fastener supplier. If you can't get em near you , I can get them from Profficient Fasteners in Hastings.

I have used Custom Fastners many times including a full set of stainless bolts for my current rebuild.
