Check out road closures to see if you are affected.

This has been a public service announcement

Whilst I applaud the fundraising efforts of a select few with causes close to their hearts...

http://www.wildlifeaid.org.uk/articles/press-releases/wildlife-charity-faces-another-lockdown-ride-london-cycle-day

I shall be spending Sunday 4th August doing a minimum 13 hour shift (starting at 6am) at Wildlife Aid, being one of the charities "Good Ol' Boris" has chosen to neglect. The way the race organisers have run roughshod over vast swathes of the population on this day makes me angry.

Not one thought has been spared for the hundreds if not thousands of people who will have enormous problems getting to work on this day (Oh, really? People work on Sundays? How very Victorian...) Yep, they'll be the poor sods serving your Sunday roast and delivering drinks to your table in the sunshine.

To those fundraising for a valuable cause, I have donated accordingly and anonymously as I don't want my name associated with the event.

To the organisers trying to justify their Olympic legacy in order to secure their golden handshake...ICGAF!
