This is a piccy of the female socket that is connected to my battery. I plug in the male plug from my Optimate for trickle charging. I want to buy a male plug with about 3 ft of twin wire to connect to a USB socket adapter on my handlebars. Anybody know what it's called and where to get one from? _________________ Why pay someone else, do it yerself |

That's perfect thanks mate. I'll ask how long it is and then buy it. _________________ Why pay someone else, do it yerself |

I should warn as well to fit a fuse inline on the pos side of the connection, in case of water ingress. Inline fuse holders are about £2 each and can be bought from Halfords or any other car parts supplier.

The issue I had when setting up a charger socket was that the ciggie lighter is too prone to water and damp if mounted near the front of the bike, or on the bars. I left the ciggie lighter under the seat and ran a male-female usb cable from it to the front fairing where I could plug in whatever device I chose. |
